Mystery Enterprises Digital Products & Merchandise

This Refund Policy describes the circumstances under which refunds may be considered for purchases made through Mystery Enterprises. This Refund Policy applies to purchases of proprietary, automated, host-free interactive digital game services offered by Mystery Enterprises, including access to Automated Murder Mystery Games™ delivered through our web-based platform. Our Refund Policy applies to purchases made through Mystery Enterprises, regardless of purchaser location, subject to applicable consumer protection laws. Certain consumer rights may vary by jurisdiction, including for purchasers located outside the United States.
This Refund Policy is governed by and incorporated into the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Mystery Enterprises LLC. Where local consumer protection laws provide additional rights, those rights will apply to the extent required by law.
1. Digital Game Purchases (Automated Murder Mystery Games)
All Automated Murder Mystery Games™ are digital products. We collect your information according to our Privacy Policy.
1.1 Access Period
Upon purchase, the purchaser receives access to the purchased game on the Mystery Enterprises platform for exactly two (2) months from the date of purchase. During this period:
- The game may be played multiple times
- The narrative and solution do not change
- New players may participate during the access window
After the time-limited digital access period expires, a new purchase is required.
1.2 No Refunds Once Access Is Granted
Access to digital content constitutes delivery for purposes of payment processing and dispute resolution. Because access to digital game content is granted immediately upon purchase, refunds are not provided once access has been granted, regardless of whether gameplay has commenced. All digital products are non-returnable.
This includes situations involving:
- Buyer’s remorse
- Scheduling conflicts
- Familiarity with game content
- Partial or unused access periods
1.3 Limited Exception – Technical Defects
We may consider corrective action (not guaranteed refund) if a technical defect is directly attributable to a verifiable failure of the core Automated Murder Mystery Game automation engine to perform one or more of its defined functions (e.g., failure to distribute clues, miscalculation of voting results, or digital pacing errors), and
- The issue is reported within 30 days of purchase
- The issue is verified by Mystery Enterprises
Resolution may include repair, replacement access, or an alternative accommodation at our discretion.
2. Merchandise Purchases (Third-Party Fulfillment)
Mystery Enterprises may offer branded merchandise through links to third-party websites.
Important Disclosures:
- Merchandise purchases are not processed by Mystery Enterprises
- Payment, shipping, refunds, and returns are governed by the third-party seller’s policies
- Mystery Enterprises is not responsible for fulfillment, defects, delays, or refunds related to merchandise
Any revenue share received by Mystery Enterprises does not alter this allocation of responsibility.
3. Legal Compliance
This Refund Policy complies with:
- California consumer protection laws
- Federal Trade Commission guidance on digital goods
- Applicable e-commerce disclosure requirements
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
